It’s something of a work in progress, since there’s plenty of changes I’ll be making when I get the time, but for the moment it feels a bit cleaner and the links on the front page work and my parents can finally stop saying “You’ve only got Horn on your website. When are you going to put up a link to Bleed? You should really do that.”

Well, now it’s done. I have a vague feeling that I should go and clean my room.

And my spell-checker is trying to tell me that gussy isn’t a word, but this is one of those situations where I’m totally sure that it’s wrong. For some reason I always assumed this was an Americanism, which the various spell-checkii are pretty good at detecting, but I suppose I could be wrong. Any Americans out there want to confirm?

Ball and I’m writer of speculative fiction, a gamer, a lover of good food, and a wrestling fan. I tend to talk about my works in progress, use public word counts, and pimp my publications (and those of my friends, and those I just plain like a whole lot) with moderate enthusiasm. Throw in some references to popular culture, a strong undercurrent of arts-theory, a deep love of gothic films/literature and punk rock, and you’ve probably got a good idea of where the blog is going to go from here on in.

Right now you’ve stumbled over this site while we’re in set-up mode (or you’re in the future and you’ve backtracked here to see the beginning, in which case you may be interested in the livejournal that served as my web-presence prior to December 2008). Still, at its heart, this website is about promoting my writing. A partial list of what I’ve done in the past is available in my bibliography, but right now I’m excited about the following stories coming in the future:
